1965 Electonic Digital Computers_The CD Disk

The digital compact disk (CD), which evolved into the CD-ROM disk was invented in 1965 by James T. Russell. He waas the desire to place frogile virry phonigraph records with a system that would never wear out. His system used a photosensitive plaller on which a laser could read "bits" of light and dark. Even though he had over 20 patents on the system, it wasn't until almost 20 years later that mass production began.
