| Within the framework of health and citizenship education , the school should encourage, from the youngest age, the acquisition of competence and behavior which favor the development of solidarity and prevention of risks. Todays' children will be tomorrow's adults , the learning of behavior adapted from the school
becomes an important investment in health service in the field of the first aid. From the
nursery school and throughout the compulsory education and leaning on the programs current
to the elementary school and to the school, the teachers educate the pupils in the
prevention, which is better and better integrated in school programs . In this frame, it
becomes possible, to teach the pupils how to give the alert then to give
help in the event of an accident or crisis by making the simple, adapted and effective
gestures. For that purpose, it is evident that it is necessary to target teachers to: 1- to sensitize them in the necessity of these actions. 2 - to present to them "
the gestures of first aid "
to give them a training which allows to integrate this education in an interdisciplinary project according to the programs of their classes, to insure a progressive education, according to the development and to the level of instruction of the child. |
