Nguyen Cao Ky(1930- ), was the second Prime Minster during the Vietnam War following Diem. He became the vice president in the year 1967.

Ky was trained by the French as a pilot held series of commands in the South Vietnamese air force. His involvement in the coup to overthrow Diem earned him the air force command. In 1965, Ky and others, led by Nguyen Van Thieu, started a coup and made Ky the primer.

In 1967 Ky ran for vice president along with thieu. However, Ky was alienated by Thieu. Ky seeked to oppose Thieu in the 1971 election but failed and retired from polics.
