George Lucas (1944-)

The U.S. film director and producer George Lucas's talent for film-making was discovered by Warner Brothers while he was in University, he received a scholarship to study at the studio.

George Lucas filmed "American Graffiti" in 1973, a light-hearted film about teenage life. It turned out to be hit and was nominated for several Academy awards. George was now recognized in the film industry and more importantly he now had enough money to fund his future films.
