Raphael Sanzio (1483-1520)

This greatly talented artist, together with Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, were the masters of the late renaissance.

Raphael was greatly influenced by other artists of his time. Like many renaissance artists, Raphael's paintings were mainly of a religious nature and Raphael is well known for his many Maddonas as well as "The School of Athens".
