Old men

            There are really only two “old men” in the major characters, but for the lack of categories, we are going to discuss Il capitano in this group despite the fact that he is not very old nor very manly. The other characters in this group consist of Pantalone and Il dottore. The factors tying these three together are their delusions of their own masculinity and the fact that with the exception of Brighella, they are the only main characters capable of having servants.
