| One
of the best known earliest sport cars is probably the Stately
AS. The car which was designed by an small English car company
named Armstrong Siddeley. With a really cool V shaped radiator
and stud disk wheels makes the AS a quiet and enjoyable ride.
Armstrong Siddeley released its first six cylinder car in 1921. |
| Sport
cars have come along way since the Stately AS. Hundreds of car
companies have produced sport cars over the years. They have
yet to stop. Another old sport car is the Ferrari GTO. One of
the first models was the 166GT which was manufactured in 1947.
Ferrari, a car company that makes only top line sport cars, is
still producing cars today. Ferrari has released more that 60
different models. The newest model being the 2001. One of the
most remembered models was the 250GTO. There were only 39 GT's
ever made. |
| Laborghini
another great sport car company which started in 1949 by Ferruccio
Laborghini. Laborghini launched its first 3.T litre v12 engine
that pumps out a nice 360 bhp. The cars handling was so great,
that it gave a grand pix feeling to the driver. One of the latest
models that Labroghini has to offer is the Labroghini Diablo.
Labroghini was bought by Chrysler, a very famous car company.
Chrysler is known for selling top of the line cars, such as the
Dodge Chrysler Viper. The Viper, is rather both a muscle car
and a sports car, due to its quick acceleration and harsh speeds. |
