Family

Teenagers face traumatic difficulties when it comes to losing the loved ones. For instance if one parent dies or they are in the middle of a divorce. Kids find it difficult to cope with that. Even if there is a step parent. It becomes hard for them to live a normal life they used to. They sometimes think the foster parents won't accept them as their own. They turn to have bad attitude towards their foster parents. They prefer the streets than home life. The family plays an important role in the well being of a child. It is the way they are raised or the environment around them which determines the kind of people they become. In other cases the parents don't give much love and attention to all their children, and the other kids feel left out. They run away from home to become thugs in the streets and the girls end up in the brothels. Spending time together with the family ensures that there is love and affection. That will teach family values. Wherever they are, they are going to miss their families and that will keep them off the streets.

PARENTS DIVORCE

When people get married they intend to stay married for life, when that dream is shattered by divorce, there is always pain for the man and woman. Children are the ones who feel the greatest pain of the divorce and their way of life whether it was good or bad is torn apart. The kids may be angry or confuse about why the divorce has happened, they always think that it is their fault that their parents had a divorce. Divorce seems like a nightmare but with the help of those who care and love you, you can wake up from that nightmare then you can have dreams of your own.

These kids blame themselves for different reasons. They become very angry with themselves. They take anger out on everyone and everything around them, kids get into fights every time and at the end they take drugs or run away from home. Some kids even consider suicide as the only solution.

FOSTER HOMES

Many of today's teens are faced with parents who are abusive, addicted to drugs or alcohol or do not know how to handle their emotions especialy anger. The result is that more teens are in foster care than before.

Whatever happened to the parents, kids need not to include themselves. What made their parents divorce, it is not of theirs. They don't need to take either sides. They need to value both their parents equally.
