What is art !?!

We humans believe life on earth started millions of years ago in Africa. The skull of the Taung child and the famous San stonewall paintings discovered in a cave namely, The Craddle of Life (near Johannesburg) in South Africa clearly shows us that life as we know it started in Africa, art included. Man has always been fascinated with colours and art was formed as a result.

There are many explanations of art but the following was found in a number of dictionaries, so we took it as our explanation for art.
Art can be explained as a branch of learning that depends mainly on special practice rather than on general principles. It can also be explained as an imginative, imitative skill of drawing, painting or printmaking etc.

Art is taught at schools and is studied at universities and technicons all around the world.It's divided into many branches of learning and the most popular ones includes design, fine arts and many more!

Literature is also another part of art and is consisted of books mainly. Literature can be explained as writings of a period or country that are considerd to be special, important to that country or are of a social skill.
Literature is divided into many parts, including poetry, drama, novels and plays. Literature has been around as far as humans can remember. Art gave birth to literature, literature inturn created it's divisions, namely drama, plays, novels amd poetry.
