So what can you do??
| 1. | Try to minimize the amount of driving you do. If you take your whole family to their place of work or school in one car, instead of 2 or even 3 cars you already halve your amount of Carbon Monoxide emissions per day. |
| 2. | Encourage and support the new fuel cell powered cars they give off no harmful gas, and can be a great source of envrionmentally friendly transport. | 3. | Try to find alternative sources of power, other than oil, that needs to be shipped in tankers, increasing the risk of oil spills, and endangering wildlife. eg: wild penguins and seals. |
| 4. | When you as a citizen see an oil spill, contact places like Drizit on 0800 202 202 (if you are in South Africa) as well as SANCCOB. | 5. | Join organizations such as GreenPeace and SANCCOB that actively try to help the environment where it cannot help itself | 6. | Take note of what you do. Think before you just throw papers or litter on the ground, it could make all the difference if everyone put their rubbish into the bins, and if the municipality collects the garbage. |
