Zhonghedian Hall
Taihedian Hall, the kernel of the Three Great Halls, is the place to hold important ceremonies. Zhonghedian Hall is behind Taihedian Hall, was the place where the emperor first came to prepare or have a rest before holding an important ceremony in Taihedian Hall.
Zhonghedian Hall is a pavilion-alike building. It has 4 fastigiums. At the top of the Zhonghedian Hall, is a gilt bronze ball. It not only keeps the water out from the tie-in of the 4 fastigiums, but also looks beautiful. The builder was so clever at that time.
