He became an emperor at age of 16. he could do nothing with the tumbledown Ming Dynasty. He paid no attention to routine affairs as other fatuous emperors. It is that eunuch Wei Zhongxian and Madam Ke (his nannie) handled state affairs. Whereas he liked to make building models, he made models all day in the palace.
During his reign, people had no means to live, so many uprisings of peasants broke out. His doing accelerated the speed of perdition of Ming Dynasty.
