The latest research of International Human Genome Project shows: the different genome among human beings is only 1%. That means, when babies are born, there is not much difference physically. But when they grow up in different places in the world, they become more and more different because of their growing environment. Thereupon, the first "nationalities" were formed.

In ancient China, people from various nationalities grew different crops, made different goods, danced different dances and spoke different languages, therefore formed their own cultures different to each other's. There were sometimes battles between nations, but there was also peace. Understand was improved through the communications, some nations mixed with each other gradually.

Our topic is "characters". To know a nation, you should know about the characters they use, know about how does the nation note down their past and now. Though The Han people account for 92% of the total population in China, the Chinese history was written by all the nationalities; and now, getting to know other cultures of other nationalities with respect, is still very important. Here we collected some

information about characters used by nationalities in China, not including the Han characters, hoping to satisfy those who are interested in this.
