There are many parks and gardens in Durban. A few really spectacular ones are the Botanic Gardens, Japanese Gardens and Mitchell Park. The Botanic Gardens with it's vast and rare trees, shrubs and flowers. Then for the more wild at heart there is also the Stein Bank Nature Reserve where you can take a walk through the bush or go on an organized drive.

Mitchell Park is for the family with it's mini-zoo and play-ground.
