Eurasian Funeral - Post Burial
It
is
believed
that
after
death,
the
spirit
of
the
deceased
remains
in
the
house
for several days.
On
the
seventh
day,
a
vigil
is
kept
till
midnight
when
the
spirit
leaves
the
house.
Very
often,
as
many
Eurasians
be-
lieve,
the
spirit
would
give
some
sign
or
symbol
of
its
depar-
ture.
Some
families
leave
a
favourite
beverage
for
the
departing spirit.
