Hero Describes the Steam Globe

Date: 62 A.D.
Author: Hero, Greek Writer

Dear Journal,
I have inscribed one of my favorite ideas in my book Pneumatica. It is called an aeropile, a hollow sphere with water inside. When it is heated, steam bursts out of openings to spin the sphere. Steam power was introduced a few centuries back with the flying pigeon and my device furthers the concept that a force can push against itself to propel itself.
