it is. Strokes of different thinckness and strength are the artistic
expression of brush on paper.

is the differnet between Cun and Miao?
|
|
Cun is
mainly used to draw landscape, and miao is used to draw figures.
|

Let's
go and see the Cun and Miao!

Draw
the outline first then add the cun. Use light ink first then gradually
add darker according to need. It is nice to show Jian-Na's rocks.

This
is the variation of the long- hemp-fibre cun with waving strokes, like
the fibre of a lossened rope.

from the hill top to make an "arterial" stroke and branch
offf from there with veins like those of a lotus leaf.

Just
like how it is called, the bent ribbon cun look like a bent ribbon.
This stroke is done with a dry brush dragged slanting to the right.
Then at the required distance dragged downloads with the brush handle
slanting at the same angle.

Again
each unit formed is similar to a horse-tooth. This is make bt a successive
angular strokes with the brush held in a slanting position, alternately
dragging and pressing it to produce a aquired effect.

is a variation of the Lotus Leaf Cun together with Tangled Hemp fibre
Cun. However the stroke of Jumbled Cun should be more coarse and vigorous.

woolly and full of vigour. Produce a 3-dimensional effect by skillful
use of light ink and shade effect.

This is necessary as strokes make by avery wet brush will tend to merge
and fail to produce a ox-hair effect.
