WELCOME TO ROBOTICS... THE WAY OF THE FUTURE
Welcome to our website, "Robotics: The Way of the Future". The purpose of this site is to provide you with a
broad knowledge of the world of robotics. In this site you will find information on five prime sub-topics
relating to robotics giving you a general sense of this most fascinating science. These topics include: robots
in industry, artificial intelligence, robots in science and medicine, the principles of robotics and robots in the
media. We hope that you find this website both informative and enjoyable.

"If every instrument could accomplish its own work, obeying or anticipating the will of others . . . If the
shuttle could weave, and the pick touch the lyre, without a hand to guide them, chief workmen would not need
servants, nor masters slaves."
--ARISTOTLE
Aristotle wrote these words over two thousand years ago. He envisioned what we today call "robots." Shuttles that could weave by themselves, instruments that could play music without any person even touching a string. This shows that even thousands of years before the technology was possible to create
robots, there were humans that were already prophesizing the infinite possibilities of robotics.
