RAY BRADBURY
Ray Douglas Bradbury was born in 1920 in Waukegan, Illinois. He started to write stories at the age of 11 on butcher
paper. In 1934, because of
The Great Depression,
the family moved to Los Angeles and Bradbury continued his education until 1938 when he graduated
from Los Angeles High School. Bradbury continued to educate him self at home during the day and at the local library at
night, he enjoyed spending time alone reading and writing. In his young adult life, Bradbury worked and wrote for many
magazines to make ends meet and eventually he began writing novels. In 1953 Bradbury published his most famous Book,
"Fahrenheit 451." Over his distinguished career, Bradbury has written more than thirty books, and won numerous awards,
including the Benjamin Franklin Award and The Grand Master Award (given by the Science Fiction Writers of America).
