About Us

Julian, and Roman, the two students that created this site, are senior students at the University of Toronto Schools, a high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They both immigrated to Canada when we were 6 years old, Julian from Hong Kong, and Roman from Russia.

The idea to enter the Thinkquest competition was given to us by our teacher and soon to be coach, Mr. Hawes. We worked out the initial design and layout of the site, as well as outlining which areas we would like to research. After our initial meeting, we decided to search for coaches that would be willing to help us with this project. Our team was soon completed when Abiola Oyindamola Osonowo and Kim E Krueger signed on as coaches.

Oyindamola who currently attends the University of Richmond, enjoyed tremendous success last year as one of the finalists chosen for her site titled "Van Gogh at Etten - Sketches and Billboards". Kim currently attends the University of Alberta, and has had two years of exceptional previous experience with the Thinkquest competition. In 1999, she won the competition with her site "Modern Miracles: Organ Transplants", and she won a silver medal in 2000 with the site "The Learning Curve".

We worked countless hours together in creating this site, constantly revising the content and layout. We stayed in touch with the coaches through email, as well as constantly updating each other through ICQ. We feel that this was an invaluable experience to us, as we planned, organzied, wrote and revised this project to completion. We learned how to work as a team and cooperate and sometimes compromise to find the best solutions to our questions. We'd like to thank ThinkQuest for giving us the opportunity to work on such a rewarding project, knowing that we were able to overcome many of the difficulties along the way, and come up with a finished product that we are all proud of.
