Visitors to the national park can hope to
see cape mountain zebra, baboons, and many more cool animals.
The trip up to the promontory at Cape Point leads to a stunning
prospect over the False Bay coast and back towards Cape Town.
The park has many seaside picnic spots and offers boating and
many more activities. Cape Point also has a restaurant and
a shop.
Camps Bay beach is a very beautiful beach
with its white sand and giant granite boulders. The water is
usually nice and cold, its a good place to go and surf.
If you go up close to have a look at the granite boulders you
will see because of the weathering that has taken place how the
boulders have been pitted and fluted. Pitting is when the
wind blows directly at the boulder and causes golf ball size
holes in the boulder. Fluting is when the wind blows and
hits the sides of the boulders and causes gorged out flute like
pipes.

A drive around Cape Point is a very nice and
relaxing drive. It might seem long, but it is very beautiful.
The wind speed is normally very high, therefore the gate to the
point is sometimes closed if the wind is too strong.
