| THE BATTLE(DASHING) SHIP of ANCIENT EGYPT |
The battle ship of Ancient Egypt, the country of pyramids and sphynxes, referes to epoch of a New empire. Such vessels ploughed open spaces of the Red and Mediterranean seas after 1200 B.C.. The modern researchers assume, that the Egyptians were the brave seafarers and their ships, crossing open spaces of Atlantic, reached the coast of Southern America.
The ships of such type made a basis of fleet of the Pharaons XX of dynasty. They had the extended strong framing with powerful keel bar, which ended in a bow a part with a metal ram as a head of a lion. The ram made the main arms of the ship. At the back part of a vessel there were tastened the protected platforms for archers who, accomodated, besides in a wum basket on the top of a mast (" the crow's nest "). During the battle thein long-range bows striking the farget at a distance 150-160 м, attacked a deck of the enemy friendly ships with bows. From the responee bows of archers and oarsmen it was protected by a high boakd. At stern the keel bar was finished with, to which there was fastened one, one but large steering rar. At a fair wind on the ship there was lifted a sanare sail. As The anchor among the ancient Egypt seafarers a stone with the drilled aperture, through which passed a rope. The Length of such ships was made 30-40 m.

The model of the Egyptian ship is executed up to a waterline, т. е. Without a water part of the vessel. The framing of the model is formed, as shown in the circuit (fig. 1). Before pasting the details they need to be painted by a felt-tip pen.
In order not to made a paper sodden at the start of a model, the details are pasted over transparent self-gluing film from both parties. The display of the left and right boards (fig. 2) are pasted by waterproof glue to the keel bar, previously having slightly bent inside their ends. The made framing of a model reproduces the lines of the ship prototype. To make the model float, it is necessary to insert between the keel bar and a board little bars from foam plastic or the wood (on the drawing are shaded).
The mast is made from a thin stick and also is pasted to one of the parties of the keel bar. The of the additional details board are cut out from a cardboard. The oars are possible to bend upwards. The additional board paste to a board on two racks in front and behind of the (display) on a contour of shading, so that the additional baord was above a board on 1,5-2 mm. The similar way it is made and pasted the bow and the stem protection and the steering oar. The rigging (ropes of fastening of a mast and management of sails) is made from the black thteads, their ends are pasted to boards from within sides of the display of details in a fig. 3).
The colouring of the hull - the natural colour of wood, the sail is white with wide red striips, figure the bow and fodder platform for лучников-dark blue and white with red полосками in the top part, the blade of the rudder oar is also painnted.
