So you're interested in our story. Cool! 

The Beginning 

          This site first started as an entry for a competition called ThinkQuest. Nicolene and I were both very excited about this so we decided to give it a try. The competition started in about May and ended in early September. We got together many times trying to figure out what this site would be about. We wanted it to be different in the sense that it is one-of-a-kind. 

          It started out by being a fashion website and then changed to a site about cloning of living things. We decided that these topics were not interesting, in our sense, at all. We practically wracked our brains and eventually Nicolene came up with a fabulous idea, teens. 

          Now that was the easy part. The competition required that we have at least two to three members in our team and that we split the work up between them. Now we decided that two was enough for us because we are both very good in certain computing areas.  

          So after many false starts this site finally got moving. Nicolene was first supposed to do all the graphics and research and I was supposed to do the technical stuff. This then swapped around quite dramatically. At the time of writing, Nicolene did the research and the writing of some content while I, Dylan, did the graphical and technical work.

 

The Work

          So after this bumpy start we both though things would become much easier but as usually expected Murphy's Law came into context and changed everything. Right in-between the competition was our mid-year break. This posed a seriously obstacle since Nicolene is a border at our school and I am a day scholar. This means that on holidays she goes home to Swaziland. During this time we did absolutely nothing. Even after the holiday not too much work was done. We rearranged our jobs and I got to work immediately on the sites graphics. Well my first few tries were a horrible, unorganized mess. It didn't even look nice at all. So I did a bit of researching and one night I thought of a great idea on how to deliver all the content of this site in a eye pleasing way. So this is what you have here! Nicolene typed out the articles present and I put everything together! I would never have thought that I would become an Editor of something this big! After that everything started to come together nicely.

          Now to make this site have a certain vibe we had to make it different from the many sites out there. The super scripts were written exclusively for this site to make it stand out and we gave ourselves fantastic aliases which are present throughout this site. Dylan is known as Menstralii and Nicolene is known as Cat. Just some things that make us special!
