The basic breeds of trees are - a pine, an oak, a linden, an ash, a maple, a birch and an alder. In woods of a forest-steppe zone of Ukraine basically the maple and a linden grow. The fauna is sated with the West-European kinds, such as - the European suslik, a wild cat, and also various kinds of birds and fishes. The vegetation of a steppe zone, is submitted by the various grasses kept only in reserves. Almost all territory of the zone is borrowed by agricultural crops. The fauna of a steppe zone basically consists of east kinds - otis tarda, a steppe lark, dipus etc.

In foothills of the Ukrainian Carpathian mountains there are woods of trees with wide leaves in which basically an oak, a maple and a linden grows. Wood animals, for example here prevail: a Carpathian deer, a marten, a fiber etc.

The Crimean mountains are covered with oak and pine woods. Kinds of animals taking place here are basically relicts.
