There are something from your behavior that will affect the level of stress.
It seems uncontrollable, but don't worry, it only affects a little bit of our life of stress.
Sleeping is important for everyone, and as I have talked about in the last
chapters. If you have not slept in the last 24 hours, you will become more bad
tempered, and after 48 hours of non sleep working, your mind will become uncontrollable
by you yourself. And stress usually comes with temper, so not enough sleeping
will affect your normal decision.
And there is one thing need to know that, Insomnia is also the side effect of long-time stress.
You may think that it is not related with stress. But I can tell you, It is much more important than Sleeping. Calories is a substances which is used to give out energy, and also it is the cushion for stress, not too much, not too few,. Calorie must be balanced in order to have a good resistance to stress. Also if you eat wrong foods, you will affect your body as well as your mind (maybe you will not satisfied with what you eat). Or just eat too fast, will affect your mind seriously. So it must be avoided. And it is better to have a list of what you eat, and find out if you have all six important food elements in your meal ( carbohydrates, fats, protein, fibre, water and vitamins)
This I do not need to say, it is harmful to your body, but not all of you know it clearly. In fact it is not problem for everyone else, but the result of some problems. There are some types of problems that will lead to obesity.
If you have one or more of the problem above, you will be face the problem of fat.
But like Insomnia, Obesity will make the problem of stress even worse. So keep fit is necessary for good health and also resistance to stress. See the chapters in health for more details.
It maybe common for many people, but it is not a true way to handle the work in reality. You may want to work in order to archive the goal, but it is not possible for you, for example, being a best movie star. This kind of dreams will guide you to failure, and it is repeating and repeating, until you cannot suffer from pressure from your target and others, so you will at last, lost your mind. You will become very unhappy and you can't resist any stress at all.
So listen more from your parents and friends. And also change your goal if necessary, this is the most important.
Everyone should know that they are dangerous if used improperly, the wrong use of drugs will damage your body and will be addicted with drugs. Too much alcohols will damage the liver and kidney and make a people drunk. Caffeine will make a person non-sleepy but also make you can't get asleep at night if take in too much.
But there is something much worse than that. Alcohol will interfere the efficiency of sleeping as it will delay stimulative action. Also some drugs will affect your sleeping (not just the drugs listed as dangerous are not god for us), e.g. Tranquillizers. They will affect your sleeping if too much are used. As told in above, good sleeping is very important for handling stress, so it will be very troublesome if we used the medicine wrongly.
That's even worse than Drugs or caffeine. Smoking is a bad habit, I think every one should know that, and many people smoke because of some reasons, some are for cool looking(of course, it is not really a good appearance to smoke, but it is what the smokers think) and some because of high pressure. But you should know that smoking can't help you to release yourself and on the contrary, you will have even higher pressure if you smoke. The nicotine in cigarette will make a person get addicted on it as well as get think about it. So you will have pressure to smoke!
As a student, you should not smoke for your health as well as your life. Cigaratte will kill you!
Do you enjoy your work? If not, then you are fighting against your mind. On above we have talked about don't set unrealistic goals. But even you set up realistic goals, but if you choose your goal not according to your personality and aptitudes, then you will only suffer for life. Lack of satisfaction on the job will lead to discontent, lowered self-image, brooding and moody behavior, and increased arguments with your friends and family.
Bear in mind, you need not be a passive bystander. You can choose your own route to your goal, don't force yourself to work on certain jobs or posts. If you find any unhappiness, you should try to give up your present job. If continuous unhappiness happens, then your efficiency will drop continuously and you will find you are further away from your goal.
Also Promotion on your work(Either in school or society) is not always good, you will face even more pressure from crowd, friends, and yourself. Each person will rise to a level that he/she will not want to have higher position in school or company, at that moment, relax yourself, still stays on your original position and have more time to stay at your current post will have position effect to resist stress.
