GIS

Hilton College has recently put in a Geographical Information Systems, GIS. Some boys have already made great use of this amazing facility and our database is growing. Thus far we have taken many GPS readings around the school and put them onto the computer. This then shows the routes and different land marks on the map. We have only just scraped the tip of the ice berg with this programme. GIS is used in Johannesberg to calculate the fastest routes for Fire Trucks during peak hour traffic.
