Behind the Space Travel - Everyone on the Earth focuses on the space travel e.g. a trip to Mars.
But does there anyone care about the things that are behind the space travel?
This site provides much information about rockets, space shuttles, space station and spacesuits, which are essential for early stage of exploring space.
As an interdisciplinary entry, we not only give information about the information stated above, but also discuss physics (the concept about force, including gravitational force, friction, action and reaction pair, weightlessness etc.) and biology (the feelings of astronauts when they first encounter microgravity and the countermeasures).
In this site, NASA¡¦s space projects such as Air-breathing rockets, space elevator and space plane, which will make space travel much cheaper, are introduced.
Moreover, spin-off products of space technology are also introduced in this entry.
Guided Tour
If you do not have a concept about what force is, we recommend you to read the section "Force" and section "Rockets" in "Spacecraft" first.
(The hyperlinks to the sections are at the bottom of this page.)
This will make you better understand how a rocket together with a space shuttle lift-off.
If you are interested in knowing more about space shuttles and space station, we advice you to read the section "Spacecraft".
In the section "Astronauts", you can find som information about weightlessness, spacesuit and life of astronauts in space shuttle and space station.
If you like to know something about the everyday life application of space technology or future space vehicle, "Spin-off Products" and "Future" are good choices.
Finally, you can go to the section "QUIZ" in "Interactivities" if you like to test you memory about the knowledge learn in this site.
