Organisation of user’s work place in display classes

In display classes for each computer should be given area not less, than 6 m,² and cubic capacity not less, than 24 m³. And, the zone, where the desktop of the teacher, server or workstation, demonstration TV set, printer, shield for plotter and class board are placed, should occupy accordingly 6-8 m² and 24-36 m³ and place on high ground. Height of the display class should be not less, than 4 m.

The obligatory element of the display class is availability of an auxiliary location — by the area 18- 20 m², which should be arranged with radiomounting and office desktops, safe, cases and rack storages for saving instruments and equipment, wash-stand with brought hot and cold water, fire-stopper, signalling system, telephone and have local exhaust ventilation.

The display classes should be arranged with single-seat desktops and semi-upholstered chairs, the height of seat may be changed. Length of desktop should be not less than 70 m, width - to ensure a place in front of the pad (not less, than 40 m) for disposition of note-book or other educational inhering. The surface of desktop should have an angle of inclination in the boundaries 12-15, only sometimes is possible to dispose it in a horizontal plane.

It is necessary to supply conformity of height of desktop edge, which turns to the user, and chair above a floor to height and anthropometric features of an organism of the schoolboys.

It is necessary only to underscore, that the depth of a leg area under desktop should be not less than 45 sm, and in case of application of high desktop and low chair and, therefore, the height of the schoolboy doesn’t conform to structural features of a place, it is necessary to utilise a support for legs, which width - 35 sm, length - 40 sm, angle of inclination of bearing area -15°.

Select 3 versions of working place arranging in the display class: perimeter, in 1, 2 or 3 rows and central.

Optimal, first of all, from the safety point of view and the formation of stationary values of illumination is perimeter disposition.

Thus it is necessary to supply:

• Distance between an external wall and desktops with computer have be not less, than 80 sm.;

• Distance between an internal wall and desktops with computer have be in the boundaries 10 sm (in a series of cases, depending on character of usage of video terminals, the desktops can be placed immediately near a wall);

It is necessary to indicate that, the desktops with computer can be placed without gap between them, and at a minor amount of desktops with video terminals the advantage should be given to disposition them near an internal wall.

At perimeter arranging of video terminals the display class should be arranged padding two-place desktops, which necessary for theoretical occupations, interrogation of the schoolboys and students, writing of paper work, creating of the programs and solving problem of the theoretical contents. These desktops are dispose in one or in two row and, it is not possible to aggregate two-place desktops.

At one — and three row disposition of single-seat desktops with computer it is necessary to supply:

• Distance between desktops in each row have to be in the boundaries 1,0-1,1 m;

• Distance between the last desktop and wall have be not less, than 0,8 m;

• Distance between an external wall and first working row of desktops have be in the boundaries 0,8-1,1 m;

• Distance between third (from window retrosections) row of desktops and internal wall constituted 0,8-0,9 m. At two row disposition of desktops with computer the passes between rows are accordingly augmented on 0,25-0,5 m.

Besides at arranging desktops in 1, 2 or 3 rows each desktop should have the shield from the back part of the monitor screen , witch are attached to desktop in distance 3-5 sm from its plane.

Least successful from hygienic side is central disposition of desktops with computer, when two rows of desktops without gap are placed at centre of the display class, and the shields of a computer are turned in the counter parties.
