Developing Muscular Strength & Flexibility


Calisthenics play an important part in the training program because they loosen the muscles, warm up players before vigorous activity, and strengthen the muscles to withstand the rigors  of volleyball.

Calisthenics are divided into two parts for volleyball purposes: exercises for stretching and loosening up, and exercises for building stronger, more powerful muscles.
