Age is no barrier in volleyball. In fact, many international players continue until their late thirties as experience and skill acquired over a long period are essential to the game.
In recent years a flourishing masters circuit has been established in Europe, with classes for teams of players over forty, fifty and sixty, and aggregate age teams. In Finland the annual President's Cup, instituted
by a former President of Finland, attracts hundreds of teams from all over Europe.
