Sometimes you're asked to ask your interviewers questions in return. Most employers have questions concerning applicants in three key areas:

Technical - Do you have the necessary technical knowledge or expertise?

Practical - Can you get to work on time, are you compatible, and can you handle stress?

Moral - Can you be trusted, and do you have integrity?

Here are some questions we suggest you to ask:

  1. What kind of support would I have for going back to school?
  2. What kind of training program would I go through?
  3. What methods do you use to evaluate your employees?
  4. What is the normal salary range for someone with by background?
  5. How much choice would I have in selecting geographical location?
  6. How does the cost of living here compare with the Midwest, say Minneapolis?
  7. What are my chances for advancement with your company?
  8. How much choice would I have in being transferred to another area?
  9. Do you pay moving expenses if I am forced to move to another area?
  10. What kinds of fringe benefits does your company provide?
  11. What is the average length of time between promotions?
  12. Why should I go to work for you?
  13. How old would my supervisors be, and what chance do they have of being promoted?
  14. How much supervision would I get as a new employee?
  15. Do relocations usually mean a promotion?
  16. Other than money, what kinds of rewards can I expect form your company?
  17. Describe your ideal employee for me.
  18. What weaknesses do you see in my background? In my training?
  19. How creative can I be on the job?
  20. Who is your biggest competitor?
