Five Tiger WarriorsThese 5 are called the five tiger warriors because their fighting skills and courage are comparable to tigers. They are both men of Shu.SEE Three Brothers SEE Three Brothers Zhao Yun, or Zhao Zilong, is one of the most famous and long-lived warriors in the Three Kingdoms period. Originally under the wing of Gongsun Zan, Zhao Yun left Gongsun when he found out that his master was a selfish man who cared little about the suffering of the people surrounding him. Zhao then came under the wings of Liu Bei and was the third of the Tiger Warriors. He was known for his loyalty and courage, especially during the battle of Changan Slope, in which he brokeout the many encirclements of the Cao army while carrying the Liu Bei's baby son. When Cao Cao saw Zhao Yun, he was much amazed and wanted to capture Zhao Yun alive. But Zhao Yun was able to escape safely. After the death of Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Huang Zhong, Zhao Yun was much valued and Zhuge placed a lot of trust in him. When Zhuge started his northern expeditions, Zhao Yun was quite old already yet still fearsome in battle. Zhuge was very grieved when Zhao Yun died. One of the oldest warriors on battlefield, Huang Zhong was originally under the wings of Han Xuan. When he battled Guan Yu, both men were evenly matched until Huang's horse stumbled. Not taking advantage, Guan Yu spared Huang's life and Huang returned this favor the next day when they rebattled. Han Xuan however, did not understand and sent Huang to be executed. Huang was saved when Wei Yan swaved him from the executioner's ground and Huang submitted himself to Liu Bei. His last battle was the invasion of Wu in revenge of Guan Yu's death. At that time, Huang was already 70+, yet he fought fiercely and died of wounds from the battle.
