The Feast of Hong Men

B.C 207, Xiang Yu defeated the Qin army at Ju Lu. His 400 000 army camped at Hong Men. Liu Bang with his 10 000 army camped at Ba Shang . Both Liu Bang and Xiang Yu wanted to sack Yan Yang and proclaim himself emperor. But the two armies were equally matched and the stalemate lasted for awhile.

Xiang Yu used a celebration feast of Liu Bang's victories to lure him out. At the feast, Xiang Zhuang was ordered to assassinate Liu Bang under the mask of doing a Sword Dancing. The assassination plan failed and Liu Bang escaped.
