Qin shihuangdi, or also known as Qin Shihuang, was the prince of the kingdom of Qin. His real name was YingZheng. He ascended the throne at the age of 13 (with a regent) and started to rule by himself in B.C 238. Although Qin Shihuang was one of the best politicians in Chinese history, he was a conceited man and never admitted his errors. After uniting China, he ruled by terror and spent massive amount of money to build extravagant palaces and his tomb. After five big travels across the country and the building of the Great Wall, China was in debt financially and people lived in terrible conditions. All this strengthened people's hatred towards the emperor and sped the fall of the Qin.

Qin shihuang believed in a medicine that could make him eternal. A group of doctors prescribed him a medicine that had a small dose of mercury in it. This mercury poisoned Qin shihuang and was what eventually killed him.

Chen Sheng

Chen Sheng was born a peasant in the city of Yang Cheng. Although young, he had big ambitions. B.C 209, because of his delays in bringing a group of draftees, he was sentenced to death by th laws of Qin. Escaping from death barely, Chen Sheng revolted against Qin's cruelty. He became the leader of China's first peasant revolting army. After many battles without many losses, Chen Sheng made himself King with his empire named Zhang Chu. But later when the wind turned against him, he was killed by one of his followers.
