Chinese culture has been one of the oldest in the world. Like the other ancient countries, China was built from small villages that amalgamated with other villages that eventually ended up in an empire. But unlike the other ancient cultures such as ancient Egypt, Chinese culture is the only surviving culture that is continuous. One proof is that the Chinese language today is derived from the ancient language and that we can still read the ancient language. Although China has been invaded and ruled by people other than the ethnic group Han, Chinese culture survived, becuase it cannot be erased. It usually powers over the culture of the invaders and come out as the winner.
