Cape Point
Cape point is on top of tourists to do list. It is South Africa's best and most well known attraction. From the view point you can see dolphins, shoals of snoek (South African fish) and even spot a whale or two. On one side of this spectacular piece of coast line you have the Indian ocean and on the other the Atlantic ocean.
It is off Cape point that in the 17th century when the Dutch captain Hendrik van der Decken, his ship foundering ,swore to round the Cape of Good Hope even if it took him till doomsday to do so. As it so happened this would be the case and ever since that fateful day there has been many sightings of this Flying Dutchman. Most notably the future King George V while he was serving as a midshipman for the Royal Navy.
