Background information on the school:

This is a school for the physically challenged, specifically cerebral palsied learners. The school is situated in Tafelsig, Mitchell’s Plain. Most learners live in the area and are bussed to and from school. Most of the parent’s at this school are unemployed and are extremely poor.

The disabilities of the learners range from severe physical disabilities to mild learning disabilities.

The Agapé team consist of teachers, class assistance, psychologist, therapists, a nursing sister, drivers, cleaners and administrative assistants. The team aims to develop the strengths and weaknesses of the learners.

In addition to the strong cultural,academic and sporting programs ,the school is now introducing computers to the learners and will use them for educational,therapeutic and basic computer literacy needs.
