Flowers

The table looks very beautiful when it is decorated by flowers, but they don't shield dishes and bother people. So flowers should be put in low vases as little bouquets at a comfortable place (you needn't put it in the middle of the table).Vases may be replaced by another vessel, for example, a salad bowl, a sweet bowl. You should cut flowers' stems in order flowers "swim" on the surface, as a water lily.

If serving is humble, don't put on the table bushy flowers and flowers with strong smell, because the combination of their fragrance with smell of the food is not always pleasant. Don't put flowers which wilt quickly or drop leaves in plates. Remember: the principal things on the table are dishes and crockery, that's why you should not turn your table into the flowerbed, don't make guests clear flower barriers to take or put something.

Christmas (New Year) table may be decorated with fir's, pine's branches or with other plants (make up stories!). You can put them in different parts of the table or in the middle as a wreath. Autumn branches with red or gold leaves look very effectively on the white table-cloth (I've never tried this way of decorating, but I'll try, it seems to be rather interesting and original).
