Location and Direction

 

Drive along Baden Powell road (R310) until you reach the M5 circle. Drive straight ahead to Royal road. Note: you are still on the R310.

Cleanliness

 

Relatively clean. Beach patrols and lifeguards ensure its state. There are waste bins after every hut.

Popularity and Sports

When the weather is warm this beach is pact with people. It is a great beach for water sports due to the constant flow of waves.

The sports that take place hear are Surfing, body boarding, jet skiing, wind surfing, volleyball and ball games.

Approximately 1.2 miles from M5 circle to Bailey's Cottage.

Facilities

There are multi-coloured huts which can be used as change rooms for the public, these are situated on the beach and there are bathrooms and showers located on the opposite side of the beach.

Near by Attractions

 There is a promenade close by which has a Supertube, themepark with a Putt Putt course, swimming pool and on some occasions a Flea market.

Waves

The waves at Muizenburg are not very powerful. They usually don't reach higher than 6 foot.

This beach would be excellent for amateur surfers or amateurs at any water sport.

The best time to go would be when the wind is blowing from a North Westerly direction.
