Subject: Therapeutic cloning - Right or Wrong?Message: I think that the main benefit of therapeutic cloning would be in the transplantation of organs. If you have an organ such as a kidney transplanted, you will need to take medicines to stop your body rejecting the organ. These can have side effects and they have to be taken for the rest of your life. Therapeutic cloning would mean that your body would not consider the organ to be foreign because it would share the same DNA. This type of cloning is obviously a far less risky process than reproductive cloning and would be beneficial. | |
