While there was often disagreement by ancient and classical scholars as to which major works of art and architecture could be considered wonders, these seven were always on the list; the pyramids of Egypt, the colossus of Rhodes, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, The Statue of Zeus at Olympia, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
