Welcome to The World of LIGHT! Luckily, you've just found a good place to spend your leisure time. At first, I believe many of you knew this interesting thing, LIGHT, in your school life, more or less. And, you may heard some famous people in this scientific field. For example, Thomas Alva Edison, a famous inventor, who invented electric lights; Albert Einstein, an outstanding physicist in 20th century, who brought up Theory of Relativity. Besides, everyone knows this formula, E=mc2. E means energy, m means mass, and c means velocity of light. In daily life, you must have seen some kinds of lights around you, like lamps, neon lights on streets, laser, stars, etc. So, light is an important role, not only in humans' world, but also in animals' and plants'. Every creatures need it, and it brings us modern civilization. If you think the light is unnecessary in your life, just experience a stormy night without electric light, flashlight, or candle. Then, I think you'll change your thought at once... :-) This website has some topics about light -- scientific, artistic, and practical. But, we do our best to let it easy to read. Less math formula ( A lot of students are afraid of them. ); more common sense. Making all people interested in reading scientific subject is our main purpose. Science used to be a boring and troubling subject for many people, students especially. We are now students, too. So, we know what kind of science is interesting and what is boring. As you glancing at our website, you'll find that it's different from textbooks for students in school, not just one is colorful and the other is only black and white. Here we have many illustrations and photos. We think a picture is more persuasive than a paragraph. Perhaps some learned friends think our works are too easy for them, but we hope you'll find some surprises -- interesting things you don't know. Now, have a nice trip at our site, and please remember to leave words for us. We sincerely thank for your suggestions, and you can help us do better next time.
