The Color of The Object

Object appearance not only have everything with object itself but also is related with light source.
When light come in contact with object, light may be reflected, transmitted, or absorbed.

1. Opaque Object
A nontransparent object reflects its own color, and absorbs the rest.

2. Transparent Object
Some transparent objects like color filters transmit their own color, and absorbs the rest.

Example:

• Light (translucent)
  • Color as Light is translucent, becase we can see the result of color mixing when we take one color to project over another color.
• Pigment (opaque, not transparent)
  • If pigments we are talk about is not tansparent, what we see is the light of reflection from the surface of the pigment.
• Ink (Color Filter)
  • Color Filter transmits its own color. If ink we are talk about is transparent, we put it onto the white paper and colors we see is transmitted by it.

3. Black and White

Black and white is basically achromatic.
Black is a kind of condition, that all visible light are absorbed.
However, white is all visible light mixing in equal proportion.
