Here are some North American mammals:-
| Monkeys ~ A pair of
Howler Monkeys can be heard 3 km away.
Beavers ~ Are protected by the law in North America.
Otters And Sea Otters ~ They live in homes called holts. Chipmunks ~ Scavenge food from travellers . Wolves ~ Are the largest of the wild dogs. Buffalo ~ Wander the grasslands in giant herds. Whales ~ The Blue Whale can grow up to 30 metres long and can weigh up to 150 tonnes. Deer ~ Their antlers are made of bone, not horn, and they drop off and grow new ones every year.

Bats ~ Are
the only mammal that can fly.
Arctic Foxes ~ They hibernate during the winter and their coats turn white during winter. Skunks ~ Give off smells to frighten their predators. Bears ~ The biggest bear is the Alaskan bear which grows up to 2.7metres and weighs up to 770kg.
Moose ~ They gather together and trample areas of snow to get to the grass below. Bobcats ~ Are small wild cats that live in temperate areas. Seals ~ Have ears but only Fur Seals and Sealions have ear flaps.
