Here are some fish which live around Europe:-
| Rays ~ Rays have no
bones. Their body framework is made up of rubbery cartilage.
Jellyfish ~ The box jellyfish could kill a person with its poison in 30 seconds. Eels ~ The moray eel can grow up to 3m long. Sword fish ~ These fish live quite close to the surface of the water. Marlin ~ Marlin often migrate to lay eggs.
Plaice ~ Plaice are flat fish that lie on their left side on the ocean floor. |
Tuna ~ Blue
tuna can grow up to 3m long.
Cod ~ Live in large schools in temperate water. Salmon ~ Salmon will return to the stream where they were born to mate. Mackerel ~ Mackerel have very patterned skins. Pike ~ Pike are long fish with sharp teeth. Gudgeon ~ Gudgeon live in rivers and streams. |
