        Africa is the second largest continent, it is also a land of contrasts. In the north is the Sahara desert the central parts are covered in tropical rainforests. Further south, areas of flat highland  give way to narrow coastal plains. There are also mountain ranges with the highest being the Kilimanjaro volcano.  There are also  few lakes and rivers.
