Leatherback turtle ~ Listed as endangered since 1970. Often mistakes plastic bags for jellyfish and get caught in them.

Nile Crocodile ~ Largest African reptile growing up to 6m and weighing over 900kg.

Egg eating Snake ~ As the name suggests it eats eggs, but amazingly it eats them WHOLE. It does this by dislocating its Jaw. Its throat contains a built in saw to cut it open.

 

Jaksons Chameleon ~ Can change colour to blend in with the natural colours of it's habitat.

Green turtle ~ The sex of the hatching turtle depends on the incubation temperature, under 30 degrees they are all male and over 30 degrees they are al female.

House Snake ~ Only about 80cm in size.

Kalahari Purple-glossed snake ~ It  lays eggs rather than giving live birth.

Leafnose snake ~ Generally speaking, the tips of the males' are sharper than the females'.

Ball Python ~ Gets it name from it's habit of curling up into a ball when it feels threatened.
