BOB
The bob was originally inspired by the boyish style and has been fitted in and out of fashions. Its recent return has been promoted by many celebrities. The modern classic version is sleeker and sexier, with fresh textures, often with a fringe.
There are many variations, including the graduated bob, were the style is layered against the profile of the face, and the layer bob – where the layers occur anywhere on the head, to give the style volume.
Bobs are worn in different lengths from on the cheek bone to below the chin.

Fringe
The new look fringe is cut and feathered, choppy or blunt.
This is perfect for disguising big foreheads and creating 'come hither' looks as you peek out from under semi-veiled eyes.
Tips
Square shaped faces should stay away from strong linear fringes and go for a softer rounded look.
Only go for a short, blunt cut if you have the attitude to carry it off.
When trimming your fringe, remember that hair is always longer when wet, so make allowances for this.

Flicks
This is a very 'eighties' style, that is only used by a few these days. The feathery ends really show off your neck. Flicks will give you attitude and those wings can be yours with a layered cut and styling aids.
Tip
Apply volumising styling mousse, or spray before blow drying hair straight. Set hair in large rollers around the edge of the face to create large, full flicks. Leave the crown straight and smooth with serum. Use curling tongs to turn the edges of the front layers out. Secure the hairstyle with hairspray.

Ponytails
This is the most common way of wearing your hair these days. It keeps your hair out of your face. On a hot summer's day it keeps the hair off your back and is a very 'cool' hairstyle. Twisted, plaited, crimped, worn high in the sky, or sleek in the neck, ponytails are a classy style for day and night.

Dreadlocks
Dreadlocks date back to biblical times when they were worn for spiritual and cultural reasons. Now are worn casually by boys and girls. Boys seem to adapt to it well as brushing is not needed. Dreadlocks can be done with any kind of hair.
Braiding
This can be done with any kind of hair. You can braid your hair or have polyester hair braided into your hair. Sometimes horsehair and wool is also used in braiding. There are many different styles that can be braided into your hair. You can braid hair long or short.
