Georges-Jacques Danton was a noble man. He had been a traitor, and he always took the easy way out.
He did everything to protect himself and his family. During the revolution he said, he was on the people's side, but he
had tried to help the king out of the country. January the 17th 1793 the people should decide if the king should live or
die. It would only be decided if the majority was more than 66%. Then Danton said to the people: ”With simple majority
we have decided the lot of the whole nation, overthrown the Monarchy, proclaimed the Republic and started a war. Can you
think any other ways, considering it is about how a traitors future, than to let the people decide it, also if it is only with a
simple majority.” The voting began, and when Danton should vote he wroted: “I vote for the dead of the tyranny”.
