What is a tidal wave?

Tidal waves, otherwise called tsunamis are extremely large waves that occur at sea. They are strong, and devistating. Although they are called tidal waves, they have nothing to do with tides at all.

The tsunamis may not be felt at sea at all, as they may not be any higher than 3 foot waves 90 feet apart form each other. However, when they come to the ground, they become much larger. Some fishermen were out fishing, and came back to a destroied harbor.

Aftereffects of a tsunami Tsunamis cause massive damage to everything in their paths. Luckilly, they can be predicted by scientists, but can wash boats up onto shore, bowl down buildings, cause mudslides, and even some flooding.
